louis’s Boudior Portraits

I avoided shooting boudoir for years because the overly sexualized images gave the opposite message I wanted my work to convey. A portrait should make you feel stronger and more beautiful in your own skin; it should make you feel like you are a whole and beautiful person, not just a butt or boobs. I have started doing my own style of boudoir that I think can be the most empowering form of photography because you get really bare it all and feel beautiful in your own skin and little else. Getting to spend the day photographing Lois was incredible. She is such a beautiful and luminous soul, and we are already talking about a second shoot.
